Choose to Stand Out or Fit In
If you don’t want to fit in, do you choose to stand out?
To fit in sounds comfortable, a place of survival, settling and where the 90% fit in. Thoughts to fit in may seem overwhelming and even paralyze you from ever moving towards your personal best.
To stand out neither fear nor “can’t” will get in your way. You are present to the sounds that champion courage and spark confidence to live fearlessly. The sky is the limit.
Which do you choose?
Last week, I spoke to a group of healthcare and fitness professionals at the Medical Fitness Institute. Businesses choosing not to fit in — like the traditional health & fitness club model — but rather to stand out.
Imagine healthcare systems focused on prevention rather than hospital bed acquisitions. Or an integrative medicine and fitness model for veterans diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder treated with mind body exercise programs. Possibilities in wellness.
What I learned — if you choose to stand out, you will have no competition. And it is always your choice.
Just as Nik Wallenda walked across Niagara Falls on a tightrope, he stands out from being ordinary. What if you adapt his mindset of concentration, basic training and “focus on the other side the secret to crossing the chasm.”
Imagine the life you will create.
What’s your finish?
