All I Want for My Birthday
All I want . . .
Today is my birthday.
I’m not one to normally make a big fuss of celebration but this year I thought I’d make a request on my “special day.” So if you’re open to helping out, read on . . .
There’s no point in denying that age is only a number.
Life is short.
And for some reason we often use birthdays as mile markers to track our growth and accomplishments.
2016 is an important year for me. It is THE year for growth.
I started my coaching business in 2010 shortly after the fuss on my 50th. That was the year for goals such as: “run 50 miles by 50” and sell our family fitness business. Truth be told, recreating yourself is hard work and even scary. I remember during the early start up years feeling unsure of how far I could go in an absolutely new profession with my business. I learned the importance to let go of my personal quest for how fast I needed to go just to reach my goal.
I firmly believe that if you want to go far as a leader in business and life, you need the kind of people around you who will help you make that possible. I believe that coaching is one of the most viable solutions for growing future leaders. I make this assertion because leading is becoming less about what you know, and more about how you navigate the challenges you will face.
Leading is a behaviorally focused skillset that is difficult to teach, yet is imperative to learn. And the tool I believe is best able to meet that challenge is coaching.
It just might be the reason I’m so passionate about the year ahead. Turns out, this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life, working with incredible people to accelerate growth and success by extraordinary leadership.
We can’t go far alone.

My Nifty-Fifties, Pottstown Half Marathon
Who you surround yourself with matters.
Let’s say …. even if you are facing the half marathon challenges of heat, humidity and hills. You can’t go alone and have fun. What I know is I could not be happier on my birthday surrounded by my awesome “Nifty-Fifties.”
My requests . . .
In the true spirit of coaching, collaboration with YOU is absolutely essential for success. Here’s where I need your help. I have three requests. Please pick one, two or all three.
Make one introduction for me to someone that you think needs help navigating the challenges they face.
This is the most important of the three requests. In order to make this super easy, share this link.
Give me, a shout out on Social Media.
You can read, comment or share my latest blog post about Pat Summitt’s Legendary Leadership Impact. Or listen to my latest episode from The Competitive Advantage Podcast on iTunes.
Encourage at least 1 person to schedule a complimentary coaching session with me.
Thank you so much for all of the support you have provided over the years, and I look forward to working together to make this the best year ever for all.
